REVIEW
Looking for Alaska by John Green is by far the best book I've ever read. It follows the story of a young boy seeking relief from his small town to seek his "Great Perhaps"... at a boarding school in Alabama. Once there he meets his cigarette obsessed roommate Chip "the Colonel" Martin and a beautiful nerdy party girl named Alaska. The story follows their adventures in breaking all the rules and pranking the dreaded Weekday Warriors, with help from Takumi "the motherfucking fox!" Hikohito and a Romanian girl named Lara Buterskaya.
The story gives the reader a look into Miles's journey, as well as into the minds of Alaska, the Colonel and of of John Green himself. It also asks philosophical questions that truely make you think. The book also looks into how teenagers view sex, alcohol, human suffering and death in a way that puts you into their position. Green's perspective in this novel is truly unique and gives a taste of his own life.
Overall this book is probably the best book you will ever read and I recommend it to anyone looking for a truly breathtaking story that puts your own views life and death into perspective.
